HARMAN Phoenix II is an entirely new 2nd generation colour film, and very different from the original. Each layer and component has been redesigned and reengineered into a completely new formulation. New dyes, couplers, and even an experimental
 layer construct! With key improvements have been made to contrast, grain, and sharpness, and a more accurate colour palette, helping to retain shadow and highlight detail and enabling more flexibility in exposure latitude.

Improvements:

• HARMAN Phoenix II uses a completely new emulsion
• tackles the grain, sharpness, contrast, latitude, and scanning difficulties of HARMAN Phoenix
• Improvements have been made to the contrast and grain.
• More accurate colour palette (for most colours & dependent on the scanner). 
• Better highlight detail / shadow retention.
• Improved exposure latitude (although Phoenix II still benefits from accurate exposure).
• Better, more accurate lab scanning, at default settings, although to achieve best results some contrast and colour adjustments are recommended.
