Paterson Auto-Load Film Reel

Film loading in the dark can be fiddly enough. The Paterson Auto-Load Reel is designed to make it considerably easier.

Made for use with Paterson Super System 4 developing tanks, this adjustable reel accepts 35mm, 126, 127, 120 and 220 film.

The smooth surface helps the film move freely through the reel while allowing developer, stop bath, fixer and wash water to circulate evenly during processing.

Paterson’s twin-ball ratchet system makes loading simple. Feed the start of the film into the reel, then move the two sides backwards and forwards to guide the film smoothly into place.

The reel can be adjusted to suit different film widths, making it a practical choice for photographers who develop both 35mm and medium format film at home.

Please Note

The developing tank is not included and must be purchased separately.

Film must be loaded onto the reel in complete darkness or inside a suitable changing bag.

Make sure the reel is completely clean and dry before loading. Moisture can cause the film to stick and make loading more difficult.
