Ilford price increase on all its film and photographic paper
It is happening again, we don’t want to hear this news but we have been informed that Ilford Harman products are increasing in price this April.
Harman Technology, more known as Ilford Photo or simply ILFORD, is a UK-based manufacturer of photographic materials known worldwide among photographers for its ILFORD branded black-and-white film, papers and chemicals.
Increasing prices are due to the current economic situation that is affecting not only film photographers in the UK but everyone on a global scale. The rate of inflation has risen to an all-time high of 10% causing a rise in all Ilford photographic paper, film production, processing and developing chemical products and film cameras. Also, rising shipping costs not only in the UK but in Europe and the US has affected the increase in cost of Ilford logistics.
Whilst this is never good news for film photographers, Ilford Harman are continuing to invest heavily in film photography and ensure its products are consistently up to high standards.
Hopefully this is the last price increase that we see this year.
