What makes Kodak Gold 200 special?
Kodak Gold 200 comes in 35mm and recently (well a year ago hehe) you can also get it in 120! The Gold 200 is a colour negative C-41 process film that offers a wide range of benefits for both amateur and professional photographers. Some of the standout features of this film are its fine grain, warm natural tones and medium contrast.
It’s ideal for daylight photography and we would suggest to shoot it at box speed, you can also experiment and shoot it half a stop or even overexpose by 1 full stop, results will still be decent.

Kodak Gold in Medium Format
Last year Kodak also introduced a medium format option for Kodak Gold. In the press release following the introduction Kodak Alaris stated the following: “The new 120 format Kodak Professional Gold 200 is an affordable, entry-level colour film featuring an ideal combination of warm saturated colour, fine grain, and high sharpness. It is designed for any level photographer for daylight and flash capture.”

We know that it doesn't offer a fine grain like its big brothers (hi Portra series), but it still offers a fine grain that most of film photographers would be happy to work with. It is also amazingly priced and we highly recommend it as starting point for medium format colour photography.
